Deposit / Booking fees
When you book your Tattoo appointment you will be asked for £50-£100 deposit which not only secures your chosen date but is the fee payable for the completion of your design. Booking fees/deposits are payable on all Tattoos booked and are non refundable in cash or card/bank transfers. If you are unable to make make your appointment, please give us 48 hours notice and a new appointment will be given with no additional charge.If you do not show up to your appointment or do not leave time (48 hours) for the artist to replace your booking, you will lose your money and a new appointment must be made with a new deposit.
This goes for all oil painting commissions also.
Minimum Charge
Our minimum charge for any tattoo work is £40 regardless of how small the tattoo may be. This covers the set up which includes materials used, the sterilisation of equipment and the preparation of the tattoo area. If multiple clients are attending the same appointment then charge is per client. This charge is usually included in the quote given for your tattoo.
How you are quoted
When you are initially quoted for your tattoo it will be based on things such as the time it will take, the detail involved and placement. This initial quote is an estimate and only when you are provided with a final size and design will you be accurately quoted for that piece.
Hourly rate
Our hourly rate is £80 per hour booked. Please be sure of how many hours you would like to book for before you confirm and pay your deposit as ‘no shows’ or a pre booked amount of time cut short, may not be payed back in cash or bank transfer. For example, if you have booked for 4 hours but only have 3 then you may have to pay the full amount owed or the remainder will be rolled over to another appointment done at the artists discretion.
Day Bookings & One Off Charges
Not all tattoos will be charged according to time taken and you may be quoted a one off charge for your tattoo, this could be for variety of reasons so please speak to your artist if you have any questions.
A day booking is a broad term for ‘day to yourself’ the duration can vary but as a standard definition a day booking represents 5 hours of paid work which includes preparing the skin, pre drawing onto skin, stencils applied and any drink breaks, smoke breaks and time to eat to stay focused and fuelled for both artist and client with an additional 1 hour for the artist to use if needed ( adding highlights or fine details to the tattoo). The 6th hour is not chargeable to the client and therefore non refundable if not used. Nor is it transferable to another appointment or person ( another client cannot use the 6th hour for themselves without at least minimum charge). If you would like to use this 6th hour for a second person such as a spouse or a friend you may do so at the artists discretion and there will be an additional charge.
Day sessions allow the artist to focus without interruption and can solely focus on your piece so sometimes can get the piece done a little early than expected, this does not mean you can count the hours it’s taken and expect a discount. The work you receive will be worth what you have been quoted regardless of time taken. As mentioned above some pieces are quoted individually. We may need the day or more to complete it.
Aftercare & Touch Ups
On the very rare occasion a tattoo may need touching up once healing is complete. Please speak to your artist with any concerns and they will be happy to help where they can.When given your aftercare instructions, it is important that you follow them closely. Any touch up requests made when it is clear the aftercare advise has not been followed will be chargeable.
